Today we would like to shine our spotlight on alumni Chelsea Blair. Chelsea was a member of the class of 2009 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. Chelsea is currently working at LEGO Group as a Licensing Coordinator.
We talked Chelsea to see how she stays involved at Nichols after graduation and she said:
“To stay involved with the Nichols community (besides following them on social media and thinking back to “the good ‘ol days”), I continually come back to campus to speak with Lori Smith’s senior PDS classes.”
We also wanted to see what Chelsea feels she has gained, personally and professionally, from staying involved on campus. She told us:
“Personally, I have loved doing this as I remember how it felt to sit in the same seat as a student. I always loved to gain the perspective of a graduate and hear the advice they had to offer after leaving the hill. Coming back to campus also gives me that feeling of nostalgia that I try to keep from fading. . Professionally, I feel that that speaking to students also helps me recollect why I have taken my career path and justifies my passion for business that I first gained at Nichols. It also continues to refine my public speaking abilities under a new audience (another skill first developed at Nichols). I hope to provide helpful information to students that may guide them throughout their final year and journey beyond college.”
