Criminal Justice Career Exploration Night Recap

April brings not only showers but also our annual Criminal Justice Career Exploration Night. The Criminal Justice Career Exploration Night provides an opportunity for Criminal Justice majors and those interested in criminal justice related careers to interact with various individuals who work in diverse areas of the criminal justice field.

This year 14 generous table hosts donated their time to talk to students. They came from a variety of organizations including:

  • Massachusetts State Police Crime Laboratory
  • United States Customs and Border Protection
  • Massachusetts Division of Banks
  • Worcester Trial Court
  • United States Food and Drug Administration, Office of Criminal Investigations
  • United States Secret Service

Table hosts speak with students during the 2019 Criminal Justice Career Exploration Night

The table hosts were joined by over 70 Nichols College students during the event. Students were able to use this opportunity to gather career advice, ask questions, and learn about the opportunities available in the criminal justice field. One student who attended the event said, This event gave me so many answers that I needed answered within the next 30 days!! Thank you so much!!”

Beth Goodspeed of the Massachusetts State Police Crime Laboratory spent time speaking with several Nichols College students during the event.

Table hosts enjoyed the event as well with one host saying, “I think the event was great overall and I enjoyed my time talking to students.” Another table host also said, “I thought the event went very smoothly and the students were all engaged.”

A big thank you to everyone who helped put together this event and to everyone who joined us for it! We hope to have many of you join us again next year.
