Bison Spotlight – Meghan Bowen

The Bison Spotlight shines today on Meghan Bowen, she/her/hers. Class of 2020, she is a Hospitality Management major from Spencer, MA. Here on The Hill, Meghan is in the Hospitality Club and also is a Teaching Associate Intern for the Introduction to the Hospitality Industry course. Outside of Nichols, Meghan enjoys watching TV and movies, sports, travel, shopping and spending time with friends and family. A fun fact about her is she loves Hallmark Christmas movies.

Meghan will be interning next semester through the Disney College Program at Walt Disney World Resort. She will be a Front Desk Intern managing tasks such as: checking guests in and out of resorts and processing payments, assisting guests with itinerary planning and ticket sales, handling complex guest situations through problem-solving, operating computer-based reservation and ticketing systems, and answering guest telephone calls.

When asked what she is most looking forward to in her internship, Meghan said: “I am most looking forward to making magical moments for families at the Most Magical Place on Earth.” She also stated, “The best advice I have for anyone wanting to do the Disney College Program is to be open to many different roles, but also, on your application, only put interest in roles you would actually be willing to do, because if you put even low interest in a role, they can select you for that role, and you will not be able to switch. Also, in your phone interview,  make it clear to the recruiter  you’re super passionate about Disney!”

We would like to thank Meghan for takng time to share this with us. The CPDC team wishes you the best of luck in your future endeavors!
