Royal Bluff Orchards is offering a unique internship opportunity to two Nichols College students for 4-6 weeks this summer (mid/late May-early July). The New Royal Bluff Orchards, LLC (NRBO) owns and operates two tree-fruit orchards in the heart of the Columbia Basin near Royal City, WA. Located in a prime growing region, these well-established business operations produce high-quality fruit that is distributed throughout the United States. Operating in a stable industry sector with consistent demand, these well-managed orchards have delivered consistent returns for investors.

Royal Bluff Orchards is offering round trip transportation from Boston to Washington, along with housing and hourly pay ($15.00/hour). A vehicle will be available for travel in the local area. During a typical week, the interns will work one (1) day in the fields with labor crews, three (3) days in the office, and spend the fifth day on excursions in the area.

Interns will be introduced to farming on a commercial scale and will be exposed to the challenges of farming organically. In the fields, interns will assist with tasks such as harvesting cherries and apples. In the office, they will work on data archive projects for harvest and marketing activity and will correlate these results to worldwide markets. There will be ample time to explore Washington and Oregon.
