We are so excited to have Kiley Lafortune ’22 as part of our Career and Professional Development Center (CPDC) team for the Spring 2021 semester. Kiley is the Outreach & Events Intern for the team and is working remotely during the spring semester. Kiley’s enthusiasm is contagious and she has a true interest in pursuing a career in Human Resource (HR) Management. She is a management major here at Nichols College and plans to graduate in May 2022.
Kiley is laser-focused on accomplishing her goals each week and making the most of her time on the team. She works hard on several initiatives for the department. Kiley is currently developing programming that focuses on fostering new partnerships and strengthening existing partnerships for the Career and Professional Development Center’s employer network. Kiley is also helping with building the Opportunity Seekers Group (OSG) which is a five-week boot camp that assists current students through their job and/or internship searches.
Kiley is always open to new opportunities and she would like to obtain an HR internship opportunity in the near future. In order to get to know Kiley more, we asked her the following questions:
What is/are your career/professional goal(s)?
My goal is to pursue a career in the HR field after graduating from Nichols.
What is a fun fact about you?
I ran 5K races on Cape Cod and I also love to bake a variety of desserts.
What is your favorite resource/opportunity that CPDC offers?
My favorite resource that the CPDC offers are resume and cover letter reviews.
What is your favorite thing about working on the CPDC Team?
My favorite thing about working on the CPDC Team is learning about career services and the people I get to work alongside.
What is your favorite hobby?
My favorite hobby is organizing.
