2021 Nichols College Virtual Career & Internship Fair Recap

The Career and Professional Development Center’s biggest event of the year, the 2021 Nichols College Career & Internship Fair was held virtually via Handshake on February 16th. Although the event was transformed onto a virtual platform, it was still a great success! The Career & Internship Fair serves as an opportunity for students, alumni, and community members to network with a variety of organizations that are seeking interns and employees. There were 310 overall participants along with 56 attending organizations.

Here are a few of our attending organizations:

  • Digital Federal Credit Union
  • eClinicalWorks
  • Essex County Sheriff’s Department
  • Greenwich Hospitality Group
  • MAPFRE Insurance
  • Massachusetts State Police
  • Nashua Silver Knights
  • Swarm Basketball
  • Target
  • The Kraft Group
  • Worcester Red Sox

Of the 310 attendees, there was an all-time high number of graduate students (26) and alumni (9) in attendance!  The overall attendee rating was 4.17/5. We received positive feedback from one attendee regarding the virtual group session. “The Group Session felt like a 1:1 with an employer because I could not see the other participants until they spoke.”

Recruiters also enjoyed the fair as well with one organization reporting, “I have been attending many free virtual camp fairs this spring and this was by far the best attended and also the one with the most prepared students. Great job!” Another stated, “I liked knowing who had RSVP’d for each session, and being able to read their resume prior to meeting.” Attending organizations rated the overall organization of the event a 4.83/5. On average each organization received around 6.33 resumes from attendees.

There were 76 group sessions and 239 1:1 sessions offered!  We received the highest overall rating since 2018

Thank you to everyone who attended and we cannot wait for next year!
