Partner with the Herd

Kicking off the semester with a stampede! On August 11th 2021, the Career and Professional Development Center Team (CPDC) hosted a virtual event to invite new and existing employer partners to learn more about our initiatives on campus and to learn more about engagement opportunities for the upcoming 21-22 academic year. What a great way to begin the academic year!

Over 50 fabulous new and existing employer partners were warmly welcomed by the CPDC team, students, staff and Nichols College’s new President, Glenn Sulmasy. Presentations were made by representatives from the Nichols Consulting Group, the Center for Intelligent Process Automation, the Center for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and the Institute for Women’s Leadership. Presentations were followed by breakout rooms where employers had the opportunity to chat more personally with faculty and students to gain even more insight and further develop relationships.

Feedback received confirms that this was a great success and the start of a new tradition on The Hill.

Connor Haynes from the Worcester Railers HC commented:
“Seeing how involved the school is with the surrounding businesses makes me incredibly proud to be an alumni. They do so much to help graduates in their professional lives years after they leave.”

Vinnie Servello from Servello CPA stated:
“Excellent presentation all around. Well put together, and learned a lot about how Nichols prepared their students to enter the workforce.”

Thank you to all who attended and participated in making this event special and the first of many partnership opportunities to come. A special shout out to Associate Director, Abby DePasquale for her outstanding planning and coordination of the event and to Cindy Lafortune for providing unending IT support. Great teamwork!
