Fall 2021 Accounting & Finance Career and Internship Fair Recap

What a wonderful way to start the fall 2021 semester with an in-person event! The Nichols College Career and Professional Development Center (CPDC) held the 2021 Accounting & Finance Career and Internship Fair on Tuesday, September 14th. The CPDC is proud to say the event was a great success!

There were 25 organizations in attendance with 4o external representatives (recruiters). Students had the opportunity to chat with recruiters to learn more about the organizations and their hiring needs. All guests and students that attended thoroughly enjoyed the experience of face-to-face interaction.

Feedback received confirms the success of the event and the appreciation for an in-person event:

Kim Krumsiek from Krumsiek & Associates, PC commented: “This is always a great event! We look forward to this event every year! CPDC does an outstanding job putting this event together. I also enjoyed being in the Field House. I thought I was going to miss Daniels Auditorium, but the Field House was big enough for students, faculty, staff, and employers to meet together. Nice job CPDC!”

A student in attendance commented: “I was so honored and thankful to be able to visit the Accounting & Finance Fair as a Freshman! I really enjoyed engaging and learning about the different companies and job roles that I can get myself into during my Junior and Senior years! Overall, I am extremely thankful for the opportunity to be able to be exposed to such a great atmosphere!”

Lastly, the overall response rate from the table hosts was 72% and communication was rated 4.94 out of 5.  The overall event assessment received a rating of 4.88 out of 5.

Thank you to the employers and students that attended the 2021 Accounting & Finance Career and Internship Fair. The CPDC is looking forward to next year’s fair!
