Fall 2021 Creative Careers Event Recap

The Career and Professional Development Center (CPDC) held the Career Exploration Event: Creative Careers virtually on Tuesday, October 5th. 36 students attended this virtual event and the feedback from the hosts, as well as the students was phenomenal!

The Creative Careers virtual event was a great fit for students with a concentration related to English, marketing, digital & social media marketing, sport sales & strategy, sport marketing & content creation, marketing analytics, and communication – or those students looking to chat with professional guests about their creative career paths/professions and/or business.

All evaluation respondents said they would attend the event again and the hosts gave an average rating of 5 out of 5 for the helpfulness of the staff and the overall organization of the event. There were so many great responses/ feedback from the event.

Here are a few student comments:

“This event was great! I ended up learning a little more about some real experiences others have had where they wanted to go into one field, but ended up choosing a totally different one than expected and it gave me some hope and comfort that stress is not all its cracked up to be. Loved all the panel hosts as well.”

“Awesome to meet with some alum, and receiving input and advice.”

“Loved every speaker and they gave very good advice. Will follow up with a few on LinkedIn.”

The feedback above confirms the success of the event, and the CPDC Team thanks the hosts and student participants for their attendance!
