Fall 2022 Work Study Fair

A new event was held on the first day of classes, August 29 – a Work Study Fair to showcase campus offices that are hiring students. To make Work Study positions fair and accessible to all students, positions are posted via Handshake on the morning of the first day of classes. This year, the Career and Professional Development Center took this a step further in creating this new event to ensure all students are made aware of open positions on campus through the in-person Fair.

The Work Study Fair hosted eleven campus departments including Student Life, Public Safety, Athletics, and the Library who were recruiting for multiple positions.

The event was held outside in the afternoon on the Fels Walkway so students could stop by on their way to or from class to learn about opportunities offered, meet campus departments, and ask any and all work-study related questions they had.

Thank you to everyone – students, faculty, and staff – who attended. We look forward to making this an annual first day of school event!

If students are interested in applying for work study, they can check Handshake or reach out to CPDC@Nichols.edu for assistance.
