The Career and Professional Development Center held their annual Accounting and Finance Career and Internship Fair on Tuesday September 13th. It is safe to say that the fair was a success with a great turnout.
Career and internship fairs are a great opportunity for students to network, learn about different companies, and to ask questions. The employers also have opportunities from career and internship fairs including meeting students interested in their companies and positions; employers are able to get a feel of what students are looking for in an internship or post graduate job.
In total we had 26 employers and 77 students attended this fair. Nichols hosted a variety of companies at this years fair including AAFCPAs, Marcum, KLR, Travelers and Bank of America. The event was held in the Daniels Auditorium in the afternoon allowing all students to come in and network.
A student commented: “I had a great time, I could only pop in for a few minutes but I got to talk to Bollus and Lynch and am now interested in applying for their internship for the upcoming tax season.”
Thank you to everyone who worked to put this event together and to the employers and students who attended.
