Spend your summer in the beautiful Berkshire Mountains! This is the perfect opportunity for student-athletes looking to spend their summers working outdoors, while also gaining internship credits. We can provide internships for most majors.
Responsibilities:
- Lifeguards/Swim Instructors at Winadu are part of a team of staff members who work at our Pool and/or Lake. The main responsibility of Pool and Lake Lifeguards will be to coordinate with our Director of Lake and our Director of Pool to maintain a fun and safe environment at both locations.
- Positions that fall under the Pool and Lake are as follows: Lifeguards, Swim Coaches, Waterski & Wakeboard Specialists, Paddlesports Specialists, Sailing Specialists and more.
- Camp Winadu will pay for all Lifeguards to become Red Cross Certified during staff training at camp.
- All Staff (in addition to lifeguarding) will work throughout the summer as General Leadership Counselors and take part in every aspect of the Winadu programming, from the Lake to the Pool, NFL Day to Shaving Cream Fights all while gaining valuable leadership skills and networking opportunities for any career.
- Leadership Counselors will also have ample coaching opportunities with the ability to have a positive impact on kids while building your resume – no matter your major.
- You will leave Winadu with networking opportunities, professional development and new friendships and relationships for future personal and professional connection.
- Camp Winadu hires 250+ male and female staff from around the country and all over the world to care and mentor for our campers.
- The ideal candidate will be high energy, fun and flexible and excited to provide an experience that can enhance the skill level of every camper, embracing our motto “Building Character Through Sports.”
- Winadu is approximately 2.5 hours from Boston & NYC, located in the Berkshire Mountain Region of Massachusetts.
Staff live at camp and reside in a cabin alongside their group of campers. This is a seasonal, paid position from mid-June to mid-August. Food, housing, a travel stipend, comprehensive staff training, and days off are included as part of the compensation package.
