Spend your summer in the beautiful Berkshire Mountains! Sport Management Interns serve as athletic coaches and camp counselors. This is the perfect opportunity for students of any major looking to work in the sports industry. Sports Counselors spend part of their day coaching campers in a specific sport and executing drills. Sports include tennis, basketball, soccer, baseball, lacrosse, and basketball. As a coach, you should be knowledgeable and experienced in your sport having played at a competitive level.
In addition to your sports coaching responsibilities, you will be a camp counselor taking part and guiding campers through daily camp activities, special events and serving as a role model.
Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a team of coaches to lead and design sports instructional lessons, drills and tournaments
- Mentor and coach campers to improve skill while also fostering sportsmanship & teamwork
- Work with other camp staff to ensure the positive resolution of all camper-related issues by communicating clearly and consistently with camp leadership staff on a daily basis
Staff live at camp and reside in a cabin alongside their group of campers. This is a seasonal, paid position from mid-June to mid-August. Food, housing, a travel stipend, comprehensive staff training, and days off are included as part of the compensation package.
