Spend your summer in the beautiful Berkshire Mountains! This is the perfect opportunity for student-athletes looking to spend their summers working outdoors, while also gaining internship credits. We can provide internships for most majors.
Responsibilities:
- Youth Fitness Instructors will run a fitness program for boys ages 12-17 years old. They will run personal training, small group training and wellness evaluations.
- Fitness Instructors will work with kids training in their specific sport program for their Middle/High School Sport (s) as well as those interested in staying fit and ready to compete. You will monitor and instruct them on their training during sessions.
- Work out of our brand new fitness center and weight room, with a team of 4 fitness instructors, designing and running the program.
- All Coaches (in addition to fitness) will work throughout the summer as General Leadership Counselors and take part in every aspect of the Winadu programming, from the Lake to the Pool, NFL Day to Shaving Cream Fights all while gaining valuable leadership skills and networking opportunities for any career.
- Leadership Counselors will also have ample coaching opportunities with the ability to have a positive impact on kids while building your resume – no matter your major.
- You will leave Winadu with networking opportunities, professional development and new friendships and relationships for future personal and professional connection.
- Camp Winadu hires 250+ male and female staff from around the country and all over the world to care and mentor for our campers.
- The ideal candidate will be high energy, fun and flexible and excited to provide an experience that can enhance the skill level of every camper, embracing our motto “Building Character Through Sports.”
Staff live at camp and reside in a cabin alongside their group of campers. This is a seasonal, paid position from mid-June to mid-August. Food, housing, a travel stipend, comprehensive staff training, and days off are included as part of the compensation package.
