Position Summary:
This individual will be responsible for providing corporate tax consulting services for our clients. The incumbent will work under the direction of senior team members and/or partners for assigned engagements. They will focus on facilitating the critical financial information gathering and review process directly with clients. Assignments may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist with Accounting for Income Taxes (ASC 740) projects, including supporting calculations and documentation related to positions taken by clients.
- Assist with in-house tax functions including notices, non-income tax filings, sales & use tax, nexus reviews, and serve as a liaison between other professionals on the engagement.
- Assist with and exposure to tax accounting impacts of asset and stock acquisition transactions and the related purchase accounting.
- Preparation and/or review of Federal & State income taxes for corporate clients.
This position offers excellent opportunities for a candidate to gain a strong technical background on corporate income taxes and to collaborate with both public and private clients in various industries (Software, Biotech, etc.) that are actively engaged in acquisitions and transactions in the New England market.
Responsibilities / Duties:
Overall day-to-day responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Coordinate activities with clients to gather required financial information and perform reviews of financial details.
- Collate / organize data on clients’ financial information.
- Leverage applications and/or software to collect, manage, and protect clients’ financial information.
- Calculate and evaluate current and future tax impact of financial transactions and operations as disclosed in the clients audited financial statements.
- Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships.
Requirements:
Preferred requirements to effectively fulfill this role:
- Pursuing BS degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and overall knowledge and understanding of MS Office365.
- Ability to leverage 3rd Party solution software.
- Corporate tax knowledge.

Strong accounting skills will allow the incumbent to complete analysis and calculations with that information to provide results accurately and efficiently to clients.
- Analytical: Ability to dissect and interpret financial records, data, and information as well as overall tax laws accurately.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to assess a client’s financial records and identify any key pieces of information (both large and small), note key details in their financial records and develop a complete understanding of their financial situation.
- Communication: Ability to share information and receive information from others with clarity and accuracy. Effective verbal and written communication skills will allow the incumbent to understand the needs and expectations of each client.
- Mathematics: Ability to perform calculations by applying the correct equations and accurately projecting and/or stating results.
