The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is recruiting for our new Premier College Intern Program (PCIP) for qualifying Juniors (following completion of their Junior year). These paid summer internships (starting Summer of 2021) prior to their senior year may lead to a full time trainee positions at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA after graduation.
PCIP was developed to recruit talented and innovative young professionals who would consider pursuing a full time position as a federal civilian employee with AFCS. This program offers students in their Junior Year, who are currently enrolled full time (12+ semester hours) in a qualifying 4-year program, a paid internship lasting 10-12 weeks in the summer prior to their senior year. Once a student completes his/her internship and meets all program requirements, he/she will then be in a position to accept a full time trainee position at Hanscom Air Force Base and start that job once they graduate college in the spring of 2022.
The focus area for these Intern positions is Logistics Management. Logistics Managers are project managers who are responsible to ensure that Air Force weapon systems can be sustained while in the active Air Force inventory, and disposed of in the most cost effective manner at the end of the system’s life cycle. Logisticians are important team members whose skills are required early in the weapon system’s life cycle to influence product design for supportability and to ensure “the right people and resources are in the right place at the right time.”
