The Keene SwampBats operations internship gives students a little bit of everything. Everyday is different and comes with fresh information. These interns are responsible for making sure the daily tasks and game days of the SwampBats organization are done properly and efficiently. The main responsibilities of SwampBats operations interns are working one on one with a few of our many sponsors, preparing and executing player visits in the Keene area or airport runs, coordinating and working events and fundraisers, and organizing and working two weeks of children’s baseball camp and a high school age baseball tournament.
The students who will excel during this internship will need to have strong communication skills, the ability to work in a quick paced, high stress environment, be committed to a professional career path and be extremely flexible, willing to help and step out of their comfort zone.
Our intern team has a heavy influence on the structure of our home games, at which our average attendance is 1,600 fans. They interact with fans, community business leaders, civic groups, volunteers and our baseball team. We are committed to ensuring our interns receive a full on experience.
Lastly, The Keene SwampBats goal is to assist our interns in reaching their next level of professionalism in whatever career path they chose. Our Alumni believe strongly in assisting our interns in achieving their professional and personal goals.
- We ask that our interns be apart of a sport management program with interests in marketing and sales and/or event aspects of sport.
- The approximate dates of the internship are May 27-August 10.
- Interns receive a $200 stipend ($100 in June & July).
- Hours a week depend on the amount of home games in a week and each interns responsibilities of the week. Everything is very dynamic, nothing the same weekly so it is hard to tell the exact hours. A good estimate would be 20-30 hours a week.
