About LukeLeaders1248 (LL) – LL is a registered 501(c)(3), located in Woodstock, Connecticut is a nonprofit that encourages a pay-it-forward philosophy. LL raises money for educational scholarships for high school students ($2,000 per year for four years) who have committed to careers of servant leadership. 2. Internship description –
a. A self-motivated student is needed to help promote the pay-it-forward philosophy of LL.
b. The intern can expect to learn about nonprofits while working in support of a charitable organization.
c. The internship will provide 3 academic credit hours toward completion of the Nichols BSBA degree.
d. The internship is not paid.
e. Requires 120 hours of dedicated work.
3. Internship tasks – the intern can expect the following assignments:
a. Weekly updates (provided by Director) to the LukeLeaders1248 website.
b. Planning support and coordination toward a fundraising event for LL.
c. Creative support to enhance the pay-it-forward philosophy of LL.
4. Intern qualifications
a. Sophomore and Juniors desired. Seniors accepted.
b. First time interns preferred. (Students who need to fulfill their experiential learning academic requirement) Will accept repeat interns on a case-by-case basis.
c. Preferred academic concentrations include: General Business, all Management tracks, and Marketing. Other concentrations will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
d. Social media savvy. Must have access to internet and texting capability. Computer access must include ZOOM, camera, audio capabilities.
