What you need to know about Work Study at Nichols College
Student employees are an essential part of the Nichols College community, contributing significantly to the daily operations and success of campus offices. On-campus employment offers students a unique opportunity for experiential learning, professional development, and personal growth, complementing their academic journey.
Nichols College students can hold a maximum of two on campus employment opportunities and work a maximum of 20 hours per week during the academic year. However, we recommend one on campus job at a time, so you do not use all of your work study funds in a short period of time (see below for more information regarding work study funds).
Please note that all active student employment opportunities/work study postings for Fall 2026 will be posted on Handshake on the first day of classes, August 24th at roughly 9:00 a.m. Directions on how to apply are below. As work study positions are not guaranteed, we do this to ensure that hiring processes are fair for all students.
Date: August 25th
Time: 2:30-3:30PM
Location: Fels Walkway, outside of the Fels Center
Students will be able to see all job opportunities that are available on campus at this event.
To find out if you are work study eligible, please check your financial aid award letter. The amount listed is how much you can earn up to from Nichols College for the 26-27 academic year; you cannot earn more than this amount. This amount does not guarantee that you have a work study position as you need to apply/interview for available opportunities.
If you still need assistance with work study eligibility, please contact SFS@nichols.edu.
