On-Campus Student Employment (Work Study)

Wondering about work study at Nichols College? Students can hold a maximum of two on campus employment opportunities and work a maximum of 20 hours per week during the academic year. However, we recommend one on campus job at a time so you do not use all of your work study funds in a short period of time (see below for more information regarding work study funds).

Please note that all active student employment opportunities/work study postings for Fall 2023 will be posted on Handshake on the first day of classes, August 28th at roughly 9:00 a.m. You will receive an email with directions how to apply on the first day of classes as well. As work study positions are not guaranteed, we do this to ensure that hiring processes are fair for all students.  We are also having a Work Study Fair on August 28th from 3:00-4:00PM outside of the Fels Center.  Students will be able to see all  job opportunities that are available on campus at this event.

Are you work study eligible? To find out if you are work study eligible, please check your financial aid award letter. The amount listed is how much you can earn up to from Nichols College for the 23-24 academic year and you cannot earn more than this amount. This amount does not guarantee that you have a work study position as you need to apply/interview for available opportunities. If you still need assistance with work study eligibility, please contact SFS@nichols.edu.

Are you not work study eligible? No worries! Utilize Handshake and other career-related platforms to find a part time job in the community or beyond.

If you have any questions regarding postings or applying, do not hesitate to contact the Career and Professional Development Center at cpdc@nichols.edu or (508) 213-2489. We are available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. in Fels Student Center Suite 201.
