Fall 2021 CPDC Open House Series Event Recap

The Career and Professional Development Center (CPDC) held the fall 2021 CPDC Open House Event Series virtually on Wednesday, September 22nd and Thursday, September 23rd. The CPDC is thrilled to announce that a total of 25 students joined virtually for this event to learn about the Career and Professional Development Center. Students learned about what resources are available to them, career coaching, events, online resources, internships, the Bison Boutique, and much more.

Overall, the event series was a success with an overall feedback score of 4.91 and 4.89 out of 5, for the first session and second session, respectively. Additionally, we are pleased to say that the overall response rate increased from the previous years, with more than 70% of students that attended the event responding to the evaluation. The sessions were forty-five minutes in length. One student commented, “Informative, quick, and interactive.”

Below are some comments and feedback from students that demonstrates the success of the event series.

One student said: “I really enjoyed what each person had to say about the CPDC and am happy to know that I can seek help from the CPDC anytime even after graduating.”

Another student said: “Great event. Very informative! I will definitely use this information to find an internship.”

Thank you to the students in attendance and a shout-out to the CPDC Team for all of their hard work to make this virtual event a success for the students. The CPDC Team looks forward to the Spring Open House Event Series!
