We are continuing our Engaged Alumni blog series with Stefany Mendez. Stefany is a two-time alum of Nichols College, receiving her two undergraduate degrees, a BSBA in Marketing and International Business in 2013 before returning for the Hill to receive her Masters of Business Administration with a focus in critical thinking. Stafany now works at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care as a Procurement Category Lead. She is also a proud member of the Nichols College board of Trustees.
When asked “How have you stayed involved in the Nichols community?” Stefany said:
“After graduating I always looked for ways to stay involved with Nichols College. I was able to go back and assists some PDS classes with mock interviews, and have hosted a Harvard Pilgrim table at the annual Nicholls College Career Fair. I have also been able to participate at the Sophomore Shout Out event as the keynote speaker. My greatest involvement has been joining the Board of Trustees of the college.”
We also asked Stefany “What have you gained personally, professionally, or otherwise in being involved at Nichols College?” to which she told us:
“Being involved with Nichols has being so rewarding. It is amazing to provide mentorship and advice to up-and-coming professionals. Personally, I have developed my leadership by being involved with the Board of Trustees. They are a group of intelligent and wise individuals that are very passionate and invested in the success of Nichols. Working aside of them has been most rewarding and a wonderful experience.”
Thank you Stefany for taking to time the time to speak with us and continually be involved on the Hill. We can’t wait to see you around!
