Engaged Alumni – Dan Jezierski

For this blog, we spoke to alumni Dan Jezierski about how he stays involved on the Nichols College campus after graduating. Dan was a member of the Class of 2016 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. Since graduating, Dan has held several positions with MAPFRE Insurance and is currently working as a Claims Representative for personal injury claims.

We talked with Dan to find out how he stays involved on campus after graduating. He said:

“Currently I am co-chair if the Presidents Society which seeks to reach out to young alumni to try to encourage them to give back to Nichols.  As co-chair, I attend many alumni events such as homecoming, the president’s society dinner, and small pop up events we have here and there around the region. I have also participated in the Sophomore Shout Out hosted by CPDC, which gives sophomores a chance to talk and network with recent graduates on their experience in the real world and how best to utilize their college experience and to help them achieve their goals.”

We also asked Dan what he feels he has gained, both professionally and personally, from staying involved at Nichols. He shared:

“My experience at Nichols was amazing and it is truly a place that even two years out now, it still feels like home.  I want every student that comes to Nichols to feel the same way.  When I read quotes from current students in the Nichols Magazine about their amazing experience at Nichols, it gives me a sense of personal achievement to know that alumni play a role in help making that happen.”

Thank you Dan for taking the time to share this with us, and the time you have given back to Nichols. We hope to see you around campus soon.
