Our first big event of the Fall 2019 semester kicked off with the Accounting & Finance Career and Internship Fair. The event was designed to have students meet with employers to discuss different career paths within the Accounting and Finance fields after they graduate from college. It was an excellent opportunity for students to network with employers as well as look for either full-time, part-time or internship positions. This year the Accounting & Finance Career and Internship Fair consisted of 24 employers and over 170 students participating. Some employers included:
- Staples
- Bollus Lynch, LLP
- The Hanover Insurance Group
- Merrill Edge/Bank of America
- Northwestern Mutual
- MAPRFRE Insurance
- Krumsiek & Associates, P.C.
Students were very happy with the event and the ability to speak with employers. A few of the comments we received were, “Tremendous! This is something that is great for accounting and finance majors!” Another student stated, “This was an amazing opportunity to get out there and hand out resumes and to network.”
Jean Warner from Webster Bank enjoyed the event and shared her thoughts by commenting, “WOW! The students at Nichols were well prepared and asked some great questions! Kudos to everyone in Career Services and Professors! Would love to be a part of any other events!”
