We would like to shine our next Bison Spotlight on a member of the Class of 2022, Owen Crisafulli. A native of Marlborough, Massachusetts he is pursuing dual degrees in Sport Management and Accounting. Here on The Hill, Owen is a member of the Sport Management Club. He also was a part of the team of volunteers who helped at this year’s Super Bowl. Outside of school, he enjoys hanging out with friends and family, watching sports, listening to music, and playing video games. A fun fact about Owen is his birthday falls on St. Patrick’s Day.
This past summer Owen worked as an intern for ID Sports USA. His role was to run the company’
s social media pages on Twitter and Instagram. Throughout the school year, Owen has been interning as a Social Media Intern for Holy Cross Athletics. His position requires him to work the front desk and many athletic events.
When asked about his overall experience he said, “For ID Sports, it involved mainly staying up to date with posting. At Holy Cross, every day is different. Some of the main tasks I do involve setting up the music for the games, staffing the marketing table during games, finding contestants for in-game promotions, and preparing promotions beforehand for different sports. There’s rarely back to back days where I do the same thing, but it helps keep me on my toes”.
His favorite part of his inte
rnships was being able to do the in-game promotions. Having the chance to go out on the court and engage the fans was a lot of fun.
Owen’s key takeaway from his internship experience is to always be prepared, “You never know what’s going to be asked of you, but whatever it is, make sure you put your best foot forward and do the best you can do”.
This upcoming summer, Owen will be working as an intern for the New England Revolution.
